Drywall Repair in Carteret and Nearby Towns

From a doorknob hole to a sagging ceiling, we patch, replace and finish drywall for homeowners and landlords in Carteret and the surrounding communities. Tell us what you are seeing, and we will talk through the fix, how we keep the work area clean and when the timing makes sense for the season.

Where we work

We are based right here in Carteret, and the jobs we take on are mostly in houses, apartments and rental units within an easy drive. That covers Port Reading, Woodbridge, Iselin, Colonia and Perth Amboy, plus Rahway, Linden, Roselle and Elizabeth. Staten Island is on our list too.

The work is the same wherever you live. We look at the damage and tell you plainly if a small patch is enough or if the damaged piece should be cut out and replaced. Then we walk you through what moves the price: the size of the area, ceiling height, how much texture matching is involved and what we find behind the surface. If your town is not on this list, ask when you call. We may still be able to help.

What shapes drywall work in this area

Older and mixed walls
Plenty of homes around here have been added onto over the years, so you may have plaster in one room and drywall in the next. We match the patch to what is already there, so the repair blends in instead of showing up as a flat square on a textured wall.
Seasonal movement
Dry winter heat and humid summers make framing swell and shrink. That movement shows up as nail pops, hairline cracks above doors and tape seams that lift. Early fall, before the heat comes on, is a good window for these repairs. The walls have settled from summer, and the compound has time to cure and get a paint touch-up before the house dries out.
Ceiling stains and sagging
Most ceiling damage follows a leak from above or steam from a bathroom without good ventilation. Once the source is fixed and the area has dried, we cut out the soft drywall, replace it and match the surrounding texture. We will ask that the cause be handled first so the new ceiling stays sound.
Permits
Small patches and repairs usually do not need a permit. Jobs that replace whole walls or ceilings sometimes do, and the rules can differ from town to town. We will check what your local construction office asks for and explain it before any work starts.
Rentals and multi-family buildings
For landlords and property managers, we plan around tenants, keep a clean work area and share photos of what we found behind the wall.
